Zoe Gets Ready by Bethanie Deeney Murguia
Summary from the left inside book cover flap: ” Each day is full of possibilities, and Zoe wants to be ready for every one! Should it be a pocket day? Or a cartwheeling day? A blend-in day? Or a stand-out day? One thing’s for sure: If Zoe’s involved, it will be a fun day!
What I liked about the book: There are many things I liked about this book, but my favorite thing about this book are the illustrations. They are colorful and fun providing an engaging view into the typical day of a young girl. Zoe is a whimsical character that little girls will love to read about over and over. It is a quick read – perfect for bedtime. It is a great addition to either a school or home library. I don’t know if Murguia plans to write more books about Zoe, but I sure hope she does. I (and my Kindergarten and 1st Grade students) would love to read more about her.
What I didn’t like about the book: I loved it all.
