Book Beginnings

Book Beginnings on Friday is now hosted by Katy at A Few More Pages.
Anyone
can participate; just share the opening sentence of your current read,
making sure that you include the title and author so others know what
you’re reading.
If you like, share with everyone why you do, or do not, like the sentence.

Liesl and Po by Lauren Oliver

Book Beginnings:

“On the third night after the day her father died, Liesl saw the ghost.”

This line makes me want to drop everything else I’m reading and start reading this book instead. Unfortunately, I have commitments to finishing other books first – however this one is the next one on my list.

Friday 56:

“He was very eager to get inside.”

This is another sentence that makes me want to read the book. Who is he, where is inside, and why is he so eager to get there?

I love anticipating a book. I sure hope it lives up to it’s potential.

I received a copy of this book from Amazon Vine’s program. I’m thinking it’s going to be a good selection.  Check back and see if I’m right.
