HBRC 2012 Day 5

20 Dec

The Holiday Break Reading Challenge (hosted by Edifying and Edgy) Day 5 – Create a Cover.

Here are the rules:

1 – Go to “Fake Name Generator” or click
The name that appears is your author name.
2 – Go to “Random Word Generator” or click
The word listed under “Random Verb” is your title.
3 – Go to “FlickrCC” or click
Type your title into the search box. The first photo that contains a person is your cover.
4 – Use Picnik, or something similar to put it all together. Be sure to crop and/or zoom in.

5 – Link your Book Cover post using Simply Linked.
In terms of the activity for the HBRC, we’re asking the participants to create the cover and write a short synopsis to go along with it. What is your book about?  We can’t wait to read your ideas.
Escape by Calliegh McKenzie

Escape by Calliegh McKenzie

Escape by Calliegh McKenzie

Lorraine dreams of an escape: an escape from herself, from her demanding job,  from her boring present and most importantly an escape from her secret past that constantly threatens to rear it’s ugly head. When a haunting dark stranger offers her that escape, will she be brave enough to take it?

Though I dream of being a writer, it’s obvious I’m more a reader and librarian than a creative writer.  But I guess it’s not too bad for an early snowy Thursday morning with only a half a pot of coffee . . .?  Looking forward to seeing what others create.
