FTC Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
My thoughts: This is truly an awesome beginning for a new series. It read like a long established series. I was so engrossed in the story I could hardly put it down. I was reading it while at the Texas Book Festival and I carried it with my every where to read in between the sessions. I love Poly (Polyester Monroe) and how she got her name. I’m having a hard time putting this all into words without sounding repetitive or gushy, but I just flat out enjoyed this book. It’s full of intrigue. The characters are well developed. And I loved them all. The best thing of all is that the author caught me by surprise with who the culprit turned out to be. I admit I do like to figure out it before the big reveal, but it’s also very nice when an author keeps you on your toes until the end.
I can’t wait to read the next installment in this series.
