My thoughts: This is one of those series for which I’m always anxious for the next book. Terrie’s writing flows smoothly at a fast pace. The reader is engaged in the story right up to the end. This third installment in the series is no exception. One of the things I look for in a cozy mystery (besides the mystery) is whether or not I would want to visit the town and meet the people in the story. I would love to have a Read’em and Eat Cafe here in Colorado Springs. I love Sassy and Bridgy. They are closer than sisters and compliment each other in their approach to life and it’s mysteries. Their various book club members had extra depth and humor to the story. In this installment, I also enjoyed learning a about the Edison and Ford Winter estates.
If you are looking for an engaging mystery with truly likable characters then this is the series with you. You can easily read this book as a stand alone, but I do recommend reading the first two books in the series: Well Read, Then Dead and Caught Read Handed.
